"That they (the older women) admonish the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Titus 2:4-5

Wednesday Wifehood Tips

I really appreciated reading Camilla's "12 Things You Should Not Do To Your Husband" found at http://www.visionforum.com/hottopics/blogs/dwp/2008/08/4251.aspx.

Number 4 is definitely something I personally need to work on. It can be very difficult to watch what I am saying. To remember that a wise woman builds her house while the foolish woman tears it down. So often we tear down our husbands, houses, children and lives with our words and thoughts. Instead of praising God for the wonderful blessings in our lives we say "If only..." "I wish..." and so on. It is a destructive pattern to dwell on the things we don't have, whether we believe we'll someday have them or not. The truth is that God hasn't given it to us today, so we must not need it. Praise Him for His goodness in giving us exactly what we need and when we need it!

I hope we get to have the chance to discuss these more fully sometime...specifically the use of the word "help-meet." That's a subject I am particularly interested in.
