"That they (the older women) admonish the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Titus 2:4-5

Wednesday Wifehood

Lady Jen wrote a fantastic little story about boys and girls playground antics. It's funny because my husband often tells me that most people's behavior can be traced back to grade school or high school, simply because it's basic human nature. She makes a very good point too.

As women, we're often vying for "equal" status with men and in doing so, we often lose something in the process. We interfere with our God given roles as men and women and don't allow the men to raise up as they should. Not to say that we're inferior, of course, just... different. Duh. That's basic grade school knowledge too. :) Check out her story. It's pretty short, but very sweet!

Interested in some more about the differences in men and women's roles? Check out some of the Wednesday Wifehood posts on the book "Created to be His Help Meet" which is a book that examines our God given roles in marriage and how to celebrate that.
