Kindness Giveaway

As I talked about last week, I am going to be doing a different kind of giveaway and I will continue it this week. It is so easy to forget the value of giving to others because life gets in the way, especially as moms! Some days, the only little person I see all day is my daughter! So in an effort to give back some people around the blogosphere are doing all kinds of fun things like mystery giveaways and "not-so-random" acts of kindness. Giving doesn't have to be expensive or time consuming and I intend to prove it!

Here's how it'll work: Enter the giveaway (details below) and I'll contact you about your mailing address. Then, sometime in the next while (say within a year) I will randomly send you something fun in the mail. I won't say what: it could be chocolate, giftcards, some homemade cards or gifts, some coupons, or products from my stockpile, etc. It could be next week or in a few months. It'll be like a surprise on your birthday! Perhaps I'll do some posts about what comes out of this so that everyone can see how easy it is to bless someone else and make their day. When you receive your mystery "prize" just stop by and let me know how you liked it, if it blessed you, etc. All I ask is that you consider how you too can be a blessing to others through simple giving and thoughfulness and feel free to leave your comments and advice on how to do so.

All you have to do to enter is to leave your name and email in a comment on this post. (If you entered last week, don't worry, I already have your info kept!) Tell me a little about yourself (your likes and dislikes, children, hobbies, do you have a weakness for chocolate, do you love to coupon, etc) so I can know more about the awesome people around the blogosphere and have a better idea of what to giveaway. Let me know how you are going to bless others around you and your ideas and experiences for frugal giving. Thanks!

This is a lovely idea.
I'm gluten-free, love peanut butter, reading, music, playing outdoors with my family, playing the Walgreens/CVS game...the list could go on forever.

I do random care packages to family members...usually including the freebies I get that contain gluten and books.

What a great idea! I am a Christian mom of two children and have one due in May. I am a coupon-loving mommy! I love to garden and feeding/watching birds. I have many allegies so most bath/beauty products and many foods are no-nos for me. I enjoy the simple things in life.

Recently I have been going to our local Freecycle group (through Yahoo Groups) to see if anyone is posting a need for something I may have and can give them for free. I also am always on the look-out for free items (from coupons and drugstore specials) that others I know may be able to use and pass them along as I get them.

I am 49 and homebound due toBirth Issues. I was productive in the work force for many years. However in the past years my health declined. I depend on others to shop for me, take me to the doctor etc. Becoming homebound was difficult. I could not serve the Lord as I had done in the past. The Lord gave me enlightment and showed me I could serve him being homebound. I started a Prayer Ministry. I can serve the Lord as a Prayer Partner. I have been blessed greater than when I was not homebound. Never limit God or yourself regardless your circumstances. When you do, you miss life's greatest blessings. I love the Lord and Love serving Him. I have great support from my wonderful parents, brother and church family.Praise the Lord!
