"That they (the older women) admonish the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Titus 2:4-5

Wednesday Wifehood

Opps! I forgot to do it yesterday! Oh well. I actually have something to write about now, so I guess it's better! :)

We have the blessing to have a couple from our church live near us and today I got some awesome time to spend with the wife (and mother of two!) and it was such a great time! It was so nice to have someone else to talk to during the day (that isn't a cashier!) and to spend some time into the life of a fellow believer. We spent a lot of time talking about finances and being wives. She is also a stay at home mom, but she's newer to it. It was nice to get to share with her that I've been in the same boat: stir-crazy! It can be hard when you're new to it!

It was awesome to share into her life and bring rememberance to myself of some of the things God has been teaching me over the last 1 1/2 of marraige, especially about respect, submission and help. Learning to find my worth, not in what I do or making money, but in being a woman of God who cares for her home and family first. To remember that little things can be big things to God and that He provides and takes care of us, even when we don't see it. Sometimes things take awhile. :) To remember to seek God in even the small areas (like praying before shopping) as well as the big (like buying a house, getting a new job). It's so important as Christians to seek and wait on God, rather than barreling through and expecting HIM to follow US. Remember to pray and be faithful! God will reward what is done in secret. Be encouraged and remember He sees all things, great and small! :)
